Zoom meetings on end. Personal decorum on camera is fading. Track suits are giving way to t-shirts and pajama bottoms and pets on laps.
I am interested to see how commercial real estate shapes up after this. Companies who see their leases coming up are going to re-think things.
It's also interesting to see how the social impact is gong to play out when it comes to interacting with other humans. I am getting messages from high school friends I haven't heard from in years. And it's only been a couple of weeks...

I have invented two conspiracy theories.
#1 A.I. developed the virus and released it to wipe out the humans so the computers can take over.
#2 There is no Coronavirus. It was a myth created so people could get a two week paid vacation. Then psychosomatic illness resulted as people began to freak out.

I know I don't have a lot to complain about given other people's plights. My company just took away 401k matching.
All merit increases that were scheduled for the whole company are suspended indefinitely.
This is to finance company debt because of the low interest rates. Of course they didn't tell us that but it's a no-brainer.
Meanwhile our revenue is about $150 million a year and we are financially solvent and still hiring for several c-level openings.
A lot of people not happy... But in light of things, happy to have a job.

People are going bat$%^ crazy. Some guy stole a front-end loader 20 mi away from where I live. Proceeded to turn over his ex-girlfriend's car with it. He drove it all the way to the countryside where I live and promptly drove it into the river to get away from the sheriff's.
Then he floated all the way back to to the town he stole it from. I promise you that water is freezing because it comes straight from mountain snowpack.
The best part is that the sheriffs try to use a spike strip. He just lowered the bucket and scooted them out of the way. I would have paid money to see that... Rona making people crazy. That and meth..
