It won't be long before we have reports of the Trump Caronavirus Recession on CNN.
My wife got laid off but she will have limited work from home. She might be able to file for unemployment.
She runs the catering office at a botanical garden. This might put her employer out of business unless there really is something in the legislation that the House stayed late and finished wo that the Senate could have a nice weekend.
&%$ Mitch McConnell.
Defeat Trump. Defeat McConnell.
The rest doesn't matter.

BTW, the website that Trump said was going to go on-line very soon and being developed by Google with 1700 Engineers working on it?
It was launched this morning by Verily, an Alphabet subsidiary, for limited access in the Bay area. Verily lists 235 employees total.
Bernie was right about at least one thing. The most important thing the President can do is to shut the &%$ up.

I figured Trump was going to win re-election two months ago. This is killing his chances. I was all great with a roaring economy and game show atmosphere. Now you have a very serious situation that you can BS your way out of.

my company has 174 workers in 3 time zones. For a software company, we certainly don't have our $%^ together.

I am working from home starting Wednesday. A little slow but we finally got there. Just yesterday (Monday), our DM said he would be visiting all the stores as a sign of leadership. Talk about dense.

Every single one of my clients called me on monday to announce delays of at least 2 weeks. For the first time in 25 years, we have absolutely no work on the schedule. I hope that we can be deemed an essential service and be allowed on the sites we normally work. With demand for many products likely to fall off anyway, I'm not real hopeful that will happen. One site is in the Eastern Panhandle of WV where their first case was found.
Just like the airlines, my business will be bankrupt by mid-May without assistance. All I have heard that is planned for small businesses are low interest loans and tax credits. Low interest loans have to be paid back from some kind of cashflow. Companies that aren't doing any business aren't paying taxes to be credited. If we lay ourselves off, we can get about 2/3 of our pay from the state but our business will be penalized severely for 5 years.
We are moving out of our offices and into home offices in part to save money and in part to isolate. We have some office work to complete and some bills to send out but then it all comes to a screeching halt. Once receivables and cash are gone, we're done.
We need help.

There is more cash coming, so they say. We'll see.
My idea is for the government to backstop all small businesses and print the money if necessary.
Bottom line is, to prevent an absolute meltdown, we have to limit the spread of the virus and keep all businesses afloat regardless of the cost, even if that means 0 interest loans and loan forgiveness if the burden threatens the existence of ongoing concerns, particularly small businesses.
In good times you pay down debt, in bad times, damn the cost, we'll absorb it in the better times.
Flatten the curve whatever the cost.
Unfortunately, they spend too little in bad times and spend too much in good times.
Trump was playing fiddle while the fires were getting out of control.

There will be many businesses that go bust. I hope yours is not a victim. The rebound means nothing to those that have nothing left to invest. Billionaires will come out in spades.
Slaughter of the innocent, just like 1982.

At the end of this, if government does not manage it correctly, the rich will be much richer and the rest will be poor.
