I think I have about had it with the ignorance here in rural Oregon. Thank goodness the state is actually handling this outbreak well, comparatively.
I no longer can have a meaningful conversation with someone who disagrees with adhering to mandatory masks in public.
Their answers are simply "shut down" replies about fake news and how the media distorts everything.
History. Doomed to repeat it.

Virtue signaling alert.
In my little town everybody knows everybody. It's mandatory to wear a mask to go buy groceries at the local market. Those workers are catching hell because they have to ask people to leave who are not wearing masks at the risk of The store getting fined.
Good news is that this little store is one of the few places in Oregon you can buy booze at a grocery store. People are catching on and wearing masks once they find out their booze is in jeopardy.
It's a jerk move not to wear a mask and force my local friends to be in a bad situation and ask me to leave.

Oh people have lost their damn minds. Telling others they wont wear a mask because it infringes on their freedom. Are you kidding me?
I have seen more than enough people say "This is how Nazi Germany started!!"

I was delighted when I went to Lowes on Saturday and encountered only two people without masks out of at least a hundred that were in there.
The on Sunday, I had to stand at the plastic screen at the checkout in the hardware store behind a couple who didn't wear masks.
And in the parking lot, I had to cross paths with a guy who had his mask in his hand. As he approached me, he kind of tugged at his tee shirt as if to tell me that it was hot so he couldn't wear his mask. Like it was hotter for him than it was for me.
Put the damn thing on. Nobody likes it but we all have to do it.
Denying it is lunacy!

According to the CDC, wearing a mask outside is not necessary if you can social distance. If it is very hot and you are sweating into the mask then it violates the CDC guidelines which say you should never wear a wet mask. The CDC also recommends those with breathing conditions not wear a mask.

All of my rural town's businesses require a mask. If no compliance, you are asked to leave.
Get a fresh mask, they are free everywhere around here at least and several shops have boxes of them wrapped up in band-aid-like packaging. They can be single use if the user wants. Go get a new one if yours is wet.
Breathing conditions? The businesses offer curbside delivery if you call ahead. This is my area, granted. I don't see a valid excuse for the people here.
