“WE HAVE INTELLIGENCE from multiple sources including our allies and our own intelligence,” declared Justin Trudeau, Canada’s prime minister, speaking on January 9th of the loss of a Ukrainian airliner that crashed in Tehran in the early hours of the previous day, killing 63 Canadians and 113 others. “The evidence indicates that the plane was shot down by an Iranian surface-to-air missile (SAM). This may well have been unintentional.” Mr Trudeau added that “the evidence and conclusions are strong enough for me to share them with Canadians”. What I liked best about that was the fact that we believed it coming from Trudeau but if it had come from Trump it would have been automatically questioned.

"Hey, did you hear war was about to break out here in Tehran?" "Really? Wow! We should get on the next flight out of town." Seriously. But don't forget the smart guy who made the decision to keep the airport open on hearing the same news.

One thing is true, if Trump does not assassinate the General there are 176 people that would still be alive. But the world is a safer place now. I heard Mike Pompeo tell Jake Tapper that. We're just not looking at the big picture. They now have 12 fewer surface to surface missiles and 2 fewer surface to air missiles than they had before. It's disarmament. I get so sick of having to explain everything.

I couldn't care less about the General. What I don't really understand is why we care if Iran runs Iraq by proxy.

We care because our good friends Israel and Saudi Arabia care.

Don't know why they care either.

"What the president said was that there probably could be additional attacks against embassies. I shared that view," Esper said. "The president didn't cite a specific piece of evidence."
"...probably could be..."
What else do you want?

Why can't they treat this like they treated the immigration issue? Just tell the truth from the start. We kill/cage people we don't like.

Since we're trying to make deals, let's agree to allow Lamar Alexander to wear his red plaid flannel shirt again if he votes to allow witnesses.

The argument makes sense. Why allow witnesses and drag on when it will not affect the outcome and can only cause your side political problems in the upcoming election? Easier to be called out for obstruction than have to answer to evidence entered into the record.

Yep. They are hoping that people will forget between now and November.
I won't forget but all I can do is help my guys get re-elected.

We need to focus our defense on public opinion and give zero confidence in the public to be intelligent.

He's so guilty that we don't need to have witnesses before we acquit him.
Idiocracy has arrived.
BTW, I think I saw your avatar doing an ad or appearance for Gucci. Really?
It might have just been a sponsors banner during the lifetime achievement thing at the Grammies.
My brother-in-law won a Grammy a couple of years ago for best album by a really obscure, almost not a musician.
