We did it once.
Here's Trump's chance to win his Nobel Peace Prize that he's been so unjustly denied so far.
He could express regret, offer assistance and condolences and use it as a Vito Corleone moment of magnanimity where he "forgoes the vengeance of his son". Then build on the newly agreed upon peace with diplomacy until normal relations were restored.
So what do you think the book is on that?
