What there is is a Trump policy that all adults caught crossing into the US illegally are supposed to be criminally prosecuted — and when that happens to a parent, separation is inevitable.
But don't let good right wing semantics get in the way of fascist apologetics.

I got a long reply from my Congressman about the family separations on the border. He (Dave Brat) has introduced HR6195 which would require that parents and children seeking asylum be housed together for the duration of their hearings (excluding other criminal proceedings) and that their hearings occur within 14 days. It also provides for the hiring of twice as many judges as we currently have and the construction of proper shelter. It have 7 or 8 Republican Co-Sponsors and is sponsored in the Senate by Ted Cruz. Right now it has been referred to the house judiciary committee. That was nice to hear but I don't know if it has a chance of becoming law. Then he slipped into blaming everything on failed Obama policies. And praised Trump for, once again, doing a great job cleaning up part of the mess he made. I imagine it was written by a staffer but at least it was a response that shows some attempt to correct the situation. I hope it's a good piece of legislation and passes but I don't have much confidence in Congress' ability to cooperate on anything, no matter what the cause. And I have even less confidence in Trumps ability to rein in his ego and do whats right, even if it makes him look weak to his base. What are they gonna do? Vote for a Dem? "Families" are not being separated at the border due to a Trump policy. Minors who are part of groups illegally crossing the border are being held in facilities dedicated to nothing else but minor aged children in accordance with a 21 year old consent order to settle a 30 year old lawsuit. And children younger than 5 are not separated from adults who can reasonably be determined as the kid's parent. but let's not get facts stuck in the middle of a great narrative. Walter, you gotta clean your quotes up better than that. It took an okie to separate danny's post from yours.

I am beginning to see virtue in the severed hand policy of Saudi Arabia.
Any adult caught stealing should lose a finger each time they are caught.
Nietzsche was right, the truth is terrible.

Y'all can stick to that rationalization if you'd like but in the end, Trump personally chose to do this knowing what the outcome would be. This was pure politics on the back of the poorest and most desperate children.
Governance by tantrum isn't going to work.

You damn well better post pics. I'm jealous. Rolling to the next Gambler500 July 13th. 1400 piles of crap expected versus ~800ish last year.
Starting point is pumice beds northwest of Crater Lake.

The UP! is too small for a person of your dimensions. You'd have to pick it up and put it on.
