Angel is terrible.
I honestly dont know how hitters are not mashing Mikolas. He has been bad all day.

That's the first time I've really seen him. He goes from 75 to 95 with a very similar motion so you would think he'd fool people but the 12-6 just seems to stay in the zone forever.
Unless of course you are Angel and had your eyes closed the entire time.

I heard one of the "experts" say the other day that he was not worried about the Cards starting pitching because Reyes was on rehab and would be back again soon. My memory is not so great but I don't recall him ever being an integral part of the rotation. I recall him having 4 good starts in late 2016, they blowing out his ucl throwing a warmup toss. Reyes may be back but he likely won't be at full strength until months after his return so maybe we can count on him down the stretch but maybe not. He's certainly not the panacea that they are making him out to be. He's a maybe.
Waino's done, I'll bet. We've got a hole (maybe 2) to fill in the rotation, and we can't count on Reyes to fill it.

Did I hear McCarver whining about giving the ball to someone who had their first base hit?
Jack Flaherty got his first hit. Even Dan was telling him to STFU.
Repeat: McCarver needs to shut up.

Waino is done. If he is smart, he'll call it a career and enjoy post-active-Cardinals life. Mo is probably counting on Reyes to contribute just enough to not warrant a deadline deal.

The Mendoza kid has been mashing all year and was drafted out of college and in his second season. They are talking round here like he may be the next big thing. I hope he is cause we need a 3B.

We have two dudes on the bench now who should be playing over Fowler.
