They were talking this morning how the NBA has turned into a league more worried about social media than the actual product. Said the NBA All Star festivities was terrible, and that the TV ratings are way down across the league.
NBA is a joke.

I'm no fan of the NBA, but it's clearly, hands-down, without a doubt the best basketball players on earth.
The best college team couldn't beat the worst NBA team on their best day.
But it's about to become where the really good high school players go when they graduate/turn 18.

As absolutely insane as it might sound, Okie is...cough..spit...stammer...not wrong about this.
If they really weren't playing defense, scores would be 180-179.
They play very tough defense but every single guy out there can score from just about anywhere on the floor.
College basketball is fun to watch.

Plus you have guys out there setting screens that are as big as a house. As the 3pt shot is all the rage (thanks sabermetrics), it is fascinating seeing the evolution of how teams are defended. If you can chase Curry or Durant off the 3pt. Line, it’s a win. If people do not think the league is physical, watch James Johnson, Steven Adams , or Gortat. |
