Anyone else getting in on the up and down market right now?
I have been keeping an eye on Carnival stock, and the energy stock is getting crushed.

Market participants acting silly. But when certain stocks go down I am buying. Still have some dry powder ready to deploy.

IPIX was a similar play on Friday. A friend of mine bought a truck load at $0.11 a share before closing at 0.16.
If I'm going to play pharmaceutical companies in the penny stock range I prefer a company with a decent pipeline, phase 3 clinical trials in progress with promise (or FDA approval), and marketing agreements already in place. I have 3 in my portfolio. Ocugen, Oncovia, and QBioMed. The last one already has FDA approval.
This is the high risk part of my brokerage account. None of these are in the 401K although if one looks like it will blow up it is probably a good idea to move it into a Roth.

I am wondering how far down Carnival stock will go?
I think I may go all in on DROPBOX INC on hopes they merge with a big boy and it goes boom.

Putting all your money in one stock is the proven path to investing success.
And the way Dexter is raking in Spring Training I think you should use your first round pick on him in Fantasy.

Picking stocks based solely on the news is never a good idea.
I bought Hasbro because they got exclusive rights to Star Wars merch.
It didn't work out like it sounded.

I smell heavy sarcasm. I am not dropping everything into it but making it my boom or bust stock. Market at a halt!! UH oh.

I made the mistake of looking at my 401K balances. Free falling by the thousands. Glad I have several more years before I will need it.

My 401K has been hammered but I am so far off from needing it I don't really look at it very much. My trading account is another story. I was buying after the halt this morning. If it bounces along in bear territory all summer that is fine by me. I'll keep piling more in. Big dips like this don't come along often and you have to be a contrarian. When the recovery hits, and it will hit hard, you make serious bank...and then have to pay taxes.

As a person trying to buy for the longer term, I need it to stay at a bottom for a while so I can accumulate at depressed prices. Guys at my company who have 25 years were accumulating while the stock was between $25-75. Now it is over $500. I need that kind of luck.

You are at Sherwin right? I have a buddy who is a big wig with them and got in around 2000. I think he said the shares were around $20 at the time.
He is a millionaire right now on stock alone.
