Just read and article about the last slave ship to bring people from Africa in 1860 and their descendants living near Mobile.

Read a good history of the collaboration of Franklin and Washington which became the USA.
Pretty good work by them.
Now I'm reading one about he plot to kill Loncoln before his inauguration.
It's good perspective for those who think we are hopelessly divided as a country. By comparison, we are a tight-knit union.
