"I also believe this ball club is going to be really good. Like I seriously believe 100 wins is realistic and wouldn't be shocked at 105." So what number WOULD shock you? 110? How about 75? Seriously. Who are the 6 starting pitchers that are going to get us to 110 wins? I can't think of a single starter that I expect a sub-3.5 era from. And maybe not any with a sub-4 era. 110 is really hard to accomplish so that would shock me. I'll expect a Sub 3.5 ERA from Carlos, Wacha, and Weaver. I feel a 2004 feeling to this season.

How many 100 win team were loaded with average players and no elite players? 2001 Seattle Mariners. I also don't believe Ozuna, Carlos, and Matt Carpenter aren't elite players.

Ozuna is elite but Carlos and Carp are both just shade on the high side of average.
The only other elites are Yadi and DeJong if he follows up his rookie season like he's showing so far.

I forgot about the Mariners though they did have 2 elite hitters in Ichiro and Edgar plus a roided up Boone, and their pitching staff was full of vets who could pitch. That was a much better team than this Cardinals squad.
Carp was in the elite conversation but that hasnt been the case of late. Carlos has elite talent but isnt an elite player. Ozuna is up in the air.

Nearly every team in baseball would take Ozuna, Carpenter, Carlos, and Yadi. Most would take Pham, Wacha, and Dejong as well. You are severely under rating this teams talent level.

So that leaves 4 starters (of your 6 that are going to carry us to 100 wins) that few other teams would want.
You're such an optimist I'm gonna start calling you Little Orphan Annie.
When you prove me wrong, I'll change my screen name to Eyore.

I don't know for sure, but I would believe (This could be my rose colored glasses talking) that Weaver and Flaherty would interest A LOT of teams. Now we're up to four and I have zero problems with Wainwright (If he's even close to normal Wainwright) and Mikolas. I like all six of those starting pitchers. That leaves Reyes off the discussion and clearly most every team wants him, he's been coveted, but I don't know what tommy john means for this season.

Of course teams would want some above average players to replace their average players, and some you arms. That doesnt change the fact that we dont have any real elite talent. We really arent too far away from being the Oakland A's.

I read that the other day also. He got screwed and is now playing pissed off. Putting Adams out there over Pham was a &%$ing joke.

When I read the article Pham sounds like a punk. It's all in the who you view as in the right.
With that stated, a lot of athletes need a chip to help give them the edge. I'm all for him doing whatever it takes to hold that edge, so be chippy sir, but don't think it makes for great fan reading material. Unless of course those fans already don't like the front office/manager.
