I have decided to build a vinyl fence in between my shop and their fence. That way my dogs cant see the idiot and I dont have to either.
I also plan on shooting off fireworks for a couple weeks every night around 9pm.

You should probably wait until they can get to sleep.
We have a privacy fence on part of the property line and then a chain link fence beyond that. Zeus is more likely to bark at us when we are behind the privacy fence than the chain link. I guess he's a visually oriented vicious dog.

Our dogs do not bark at the kids behind us where the privacy fence is. There is a strip of about 30 ft that is chain which is where they are barking at the idiot. Its the only part of the yard that isnt privacy fence. We have a detached shop in between the chain link so I am just gonna extend the fence from the back corner of the shop so the dogs cant get to him or see them. They will be about 30 ft from the chain link at that point and I doubt they bark much if at all when they cant see them.
I can access that part of the yard from a privacy fence on the front side of the shop. Now I am thinking about turning that little spot of the yard into my yard waste spot so he has to see it. Put a nice compost pile over there ripe with dog crap.

Yeah thats pretty much what I said and tried to be a good neighbor. He on the other hand wants to try and screw with me which is ill-advised. |

My training with the whistle didn't work. Without some positive reinforcement from the owner, it ain't gonna. But I found a website that sells books about dog training specific to breeds. I can't remember the home page but I tried to send my neighbor to www.germanshepardsavvy.com If you are interested, they claim to be able to help with just about all the bad behaviors including barking at your neighbors. Yours will likely continue to hump your leg, though. |

I built a fence and have had no more issues other than wanting to strangle the guy for being a dbag The idiot was out mowing his yard at 6 am on Wednesday, but wants to complain about a dog barking for 5 minutes in the middle of the day.
it doesnt bother me as I am just getting back from the gym about that time, but the other neighbors crazy %^$ may kill him.
