I am shocked, although he seemed I creasingly bored with doing that show, I figured he would just go on to something else... guess not. I guess they edit out all the $%^ that shows signs of clinical depression on TV. You can't have reality TV be too real. I never missed an episode.

I just dont get suicide unless you have some kind of debilitating disease or illness. Yes i know clinical depression is an illness, but it is treatable. Seems like more people are offing themselves at his age. Maybe they dont like getting old, and not being able to do the things they were once capable of doing?
Goes to show you that money and fame doesnt mean happiness i guess.

Nope. Depression does not discriminate.
Medication for clinical depression and anxiety is a very tricky thing. It certainly is not an exact science. One med can drastically help one person and the same med can acerbate someone else condition though they have the same symptoms.

One of my doctors prescribed a medication for me to treat peripheral neuropathy by stimulating the nerves. That same medication is prescribed to treat fibromyalgia but calming the nerves. Psychiatric medicine is even worse. It's a crapshoot that might very well be avoided with a couple of bong hits.

He has been diagnosed as bipolar, manic, OCD, even psychopathy; he has violent tendencies and is a pathological liar. He also has an IQ off the charts. His parents are both seemingly well adjusted hyper achievers. About 5 years ago he quit taking any meds at all and just smoked pot. He's still a weirdo, but he is waaay better than ever before. I, on the other hand, get super anxious and depressed when I smoke. I used to smoke back in the 70's and 80's and liked it, but eventually I just had to quit. I take 6 pills every day for anxiety and depression, and have taken the same thing for about 12 years now. What I take works for me, but it took a long time to get the right combo and dosage.

The best treatment we have for Lupus is an antimalarial. Go figure.

Typically people with depression/anxiety are very creative and intelligent. You should be fine. It must make you mad to be depressed but not very intelligent. Maybe you should kill Lefty. In college I tried to commit suicide by taking pills I had received during a drug trial I was being paid to participate in. Turned out I was in the placebo group. Gave me diabetes.
