The reason I prefer a car. Besides that, helicopters cannot glide. A small plane gives you marginally higher odds of survival.
I just went to my company's national sales meeting. They do not allow us to drive. You must fly. I found a loophole and drove anyway. If our entire district is on the same flight I will be the designated survivor if they crash.

My Father finally ran out of gas yesterday at age 89.

His light could have burned longer if he had taken better care of himself but it wouldn't have been nearly as lovely.
What good is a life if you don't live it anyway?

I'm already done grieving. He squeezed every ounce out of life and wouldn't want me to waste any of mine getting depressed over an 89 year old man dying. They tend to do that.
I'll miss him but try to honor him by making sure my Mother doesn't get lonely in the time she has left.
Edit: And you're right, I am surprised.
