I'm getting one of these put in on next Wednesday: www.fda.gov/medical-devices/recently-approved-devices/woven-endobridge-web-aneurysm-embolization-system-p170032I've seen one and it is so cool that I would get one put in just for that. It's a sleeve of oriented steel fibers, so fine that you can barely see it. It will expand from about 1.5 mm to 12 mm and take just about any shape it encounters and can be drawn back into the sleeve and reinserted to assure exact placement. It takes the place of an injection of platinum coil and at least one stent and cuts the time in half as well as the rate of complications. Most everything is already claimed including the Beenie Baby collection. Sorry to disappoint, Okie. I'll let you know if I live through it. |
