Taking a look at who's available and it's Manny Machado, Bryce Harper and a bunch of over 30's.
If we're gonna make some sort of move, maybe we first go after Madison Bumgarner to give us some young trade bait.

I'd prefer Moustakas but I am betting Mo tries to get Donaldson on a cheaper contract due to his injuries.

I don't either except that it could give us something to make a deal with and replace Waino's veteran leadership (?) in the rotation.

I would rather have Jose Martinez in RF than Fowler. In fact I do not mind Martinez in RF. His arm makes up for a lot of his woes as a fielder. He is better than Matt Holliday was and we won it all with Holliday. Martinez is the worst defender you have ever seen. Chris Duncan |

Martinez is the worst defender you have ever seen. Chris Duncan As bad as Duncan was I never saw him drop a ball thrown directly to him at 1B. Martinez dropped multiple throws that were beyond routine. I remember one where he didnt even get a glove on it. Routine throw from 3B and he doesnt even get a glove on it. Only explanation I have for him is that he had his eyes closed. it was amazingly awful. |

I saw Martinez cost us a game by not reaching for a throw that would have been an inning ending dp. He only stretched out by about a foot. Two feet and it's over. The guy's about 6'5" isn't he?
And errors are only charged if the gets to the ball and misses it.
