I was about to go vote for Joe Biden but I thought, wait. What if QAnon comes up with pictures of Joe Biden eating babies?
I thought about it for a minute and concluded that he could never have eaten 210,000 babies. He'd be fat as a pig as I understand they are about like 65/35 beef.
So I went ahead and voted for him.
But if I find out that he really has eaten more than 210,000 babies, I won't vote to re-elect him in 2024.

I wish Biden would run as a one-term candidate. I can't imagine voting for an 81 year old in 2024.

The reality of the debate is that it wasn't what it should be. I listened to the first half hour and Harris actually answered a couple of the questions but Pence completely ignored them on all but the first question. He never even got close to the topic on most all of his answers.
The moderator might as well have not been there. Kamala handled the interruptions from Pence very well on her own because Pence is fairly civil guy who knows how to behave, unlike his boss.
The moderator needs to be Judge Judy next time. Or the Penguin from the Blues Brothers. Someone who will, after declaring that she is there to enforce the rules, actually do that.

I thought he was running as a one-termer. At his age, he's probably taking things day by day. But I don't think he has addressed one or two terms. They asked Kamala about it last night and, wonder of wonders, she didn't answer. |

He cannot address the topic publicly because to admit to being a one-termer puts you as a lame duck from day one and that is political capital lost. But the scuttlebutt is that he only intends to serve a single term.

If you have seen any FOX News or listened to any talk radio you know that the rabid Trump supporters have been claiming Biden would back out of the debates. Now it is Trump refusing to debate. How it must pain them.

This was making the rounds a few weeks ago:
"Prediction: Around September 25th it will be announced that Biden has been exposed to covid 19 and he quarantines for 6 weeks,missing all 3 debates. Alternatively it is announced that Biden has contacted covid 19 but he fights it bravely for 6 weeks and recovers fully just before the election, having missed the debates, but now he's a hero survivor of the disease."

Of course. The argument put to me was that in a virtual debate Biden could be fed answers and that wasn't fair. I countered that easily. I suggested that debates are supposed to be about policy ideas and the differences in platforms. I wouldn't care if my opponent was reading from his web page, I just want a chance to put forth arguments as to why my ideas are better. It isn't a contest to see who can make the best off-the-cuff remarks, quips they have actually been practicing for days, or who can memorize the most facts and figures.
