If these gun toting slack-jawed militia folk ever faced a military deployment, they would $%^ themselves.
It seems like that rebel flag now stands for Fat Lives Matter.

Next time, Joe needs to ignore Trump and just keep talking to the camera. Imagine the public's reaction if he just ignored the interruptions and kept talking to the camera. That would make Trump look even worse than he did. You would still miss half of what he was saying but everyone would have to agree that it was 100% Trump being a prick. Calling Trump a liar and a clown did not do Joe any favors. Be serious and stop playing to the WWE playbook.

I agree that he shouldn't have stooped to Trump's level, but he was trying to make something meaningful happen in the face of petulence.
Wallace should have put Trump in time out.

There was no intellect on display w/r/t policy. There was just, my plan does X. No it doesn't. You will destroy America. You're crazy. Here's the deal. Your son does drugs. You don't pay taxes. That means I'm smart. And I did pay millions in taxes so I'm not that smart.
Then there were the easy wins. Just repudiate the proud boys. You repudiate Antifa. They couldn't even get the easy wins.

They are saying they are going to change the rules to try to contain Trump in the next debate. They don't need to change the rules. They would have made for a substantive and productive debate had they been followed.
The only way you are going to fix that problem is to not invite Trump.
Although I'm disappointed that Joe didn't come up with the right responses when asked about packing the SCOTUS and repudiating Antifa, I can forgive them because he was in a $%^storm that should have been a debate on policy. I would have liked to hear him add that while he feels Antifa is an idea, the element of Antifa that creates violence either directly or by provoking others to violence is unwelcome. Then he should have said, "Let me fight for you instead."
The correct answer to the question about packing the court would have been that the Constitution delegates that to Congress.
Them not getting the easy wins is because of the full-on combat approach taken by Trump and participated in to a smaller degree by Biden. Leaders don't work under those conditions for a reason that became very obvious yesterday. You don't get good results that way.
Let's have a debate, not a fight. I'm hoping to see an end to shout-down politics soon. January 20, 2021 in fact. It's a waste of time and resources.

Joe needs thick skin <insert joke here> and should speak to the camera and let the red-faced heckler spout off.
Shutting off mics is a good idea.

The Covid-19 discussion was particularly annoying. Trump wants to just open up and let people take their chances and, to quote Ivan Drago -- if he dies, he dies. Fair enough. But then he says Biden wants to shut everything down until all businesses are destroyed. That is not what Biden says. Biden also wants to open up the economy but have the government provide all that businesses need to do so safely. But the mouth breathers only believe what Rush, Tucker, Hannity, and Beck tell them.
I know from experience that a company with the means to take the necessary safety precautions can have a safe workplace for workers and customers. This is why the Biden plan is better. A simple debate question with responses uninterrupted would have explicated this to the American voters.

To put a modern take on an old theme, while Covid burned through the nation and while the West literally burned with wildfire, Trump played with Twitter.

When Trump said that Biden was in favor of the Green Plan and Biden said he wasn't he was in favor of the Biden Plan because it's his plan, Trump then countered with, yes you are. When Trump said that Biden wanted to shut everything down and Biden said, no he didn't, he wanted to follow the plan he has laid out, Trump again countered with yes you do.
That's good enough for the Thirty Percenters.
I had this discussion with my oldest friend the other day. In defense of Trump, he said that Obama was the worst President ever. I asked him why he thought that and he said it was because Obama only got elected President for the money. I asked him what he based that on and all he could come up with was the fact that he actually HAS gotten rich after his Presidency. I pointed out that if getting rich had been Obama's goal, he probably would have taken his Harvard Law degree into the private world and gotten much richer, much faster AND that I personally don't base my opinions on such slim foundations. Of course I could have gone into the fact that it's a really long way from his original goal of backing up his statement that Trump doesn't lie anymore than any other politician. But I value our friendship so I spared him the total humiliation that I would subject any of you guys to in a similar situation. But none of you guys would make such a baseless and indefensible argument. Not even Okie.
It will be sad to lose my oldest friend to The Dark Side, but it's his choice. I don't think I'll be able to look the other way anymore for anyone. We've been doing it for too long and look where it has gotten us.
Wins in Florida and Ohio will finish him off early. Let's see it happen on election night.
Joe needs to go at him like a UFC guy with a semi-conscious opponent on the ground. Until the nest debate and then he needs to pretend he's not there. Then back at him. Pound him like we could have pounded Covid in May. Relentlessly. Non-stop. 24/7/33.

To put a modern take on an old theme, while Covid burned through the nation and while the West literally burned with wildfire, Trump played with Twitter. He's already determined the cause of all those fires for us. Does he have to go and put out the fires, too. Because he can. All the Governors got to do is to say the word and we can send our fine military in and snuff out those fires in minutes. Seconds! The fires would probably put themselves out just knowing that Trump is on the way. And Covid would have been much worse if he had listened to everybody else and not shut down China. That probably saved millions of lives and he should get the Noble Prizes for Peace and Medicine for it. Biden would have killed millions and burned their suburbs to kill the virus. That's what Joe's plan is.

He shut down China by announcing he was shutting down travel from China and gave a deadline so that there was a massive rush from China by about 40,000 people that were not quarantined when they arrived, seeding the nation with numerous vectors for pandemic. I think Joe should point that out.
