As I understand it, there is significant opposition in the GOP to Trumps infrastructure plan. It seems to me that is a global economic crisis beyond all other concerns. If everyone is a borrower, who is the lender? The US deficit was in uncharted territory when Twitler took office and he has not paid it any mind at all. Unfuk the World

Is anyone else wonder why Bernie quit the day AFTER all the people in Wisconsin risked their health standing in line to cast an irrelevant vote?
Maybe the idea was that if Bernie stayed in, there would be lots of liberal voters coming to the polls and they would vote for the dem for State Supreme Court. That's the only reason that I can think of that he would force that onto those voters. He had better have a better one than that, imo.
I haven't heard a single person question that yet, though.

I will vote for Biden but &%$ me. I'd never vote him unless it was a situation like this. He sounds like a crazed old man.

I'm in the same boat.
Biden is too old, with too much baggage and is a part of the Clinton establishment, imo. I'm still going to vote for him and given the choice, it's not a hard decision.
I just hope that he has better sense than Hillary did. She quoted Michelle saying "When they go low, we go high." but didn't live up to those words.
The best way to lose a race to the bottom is to not participate. Don't make the same mistake that Hillary did. Let Donald win that one.

I predict this election will be decided in the courts. It will probably hinge on the legality of mail in ballots or something closely related.

The Dems put together terrible tickets. If you pick Biden you are trying to get moderate Republicans to switch sides. Then they float out Warren as the VP, a choice sure to turn off any possibility of winning moderates of any stripe.
Is the progressive vote larger and more likely to vote than moderate Republicans and middle of the roaders?
How about no.
A safer choice to get both of those demos is Yang or Klobuchar.

Is the progressive vote larger and more likely to vote than moderate Republicans and middle of the roaders? How about no. A safer choice to get both of those demos is Yang or Klobuchar. Yes, they do. They never nominate the best candidate. They nominate the most popular one. So you get guys that do stuff like Lefty's talking about. I saw it and he was acting like one of those guys who claims to "know how to talk to them". It's a lot like the "well-spoken" and "Articulate" tags. It's patronizing and I would imagine resented by most people of color. The way to talk to "them" is just like you talk to anyone else. You speak with respect and listen to what they have to say. Talking like "them" is really an admission that you still see the world from an us and them perspective. It might be the best some of us old guys can do after living a lifetime of both open and covert racism, but it's one of the many subtle relics of racism that still exist today.
