deadline.com/2019/05/john-oliver-georgia-heartbeat-bill-rant-baby-fetus-last-week-tonight-1202613527/She speaks for Baby Fetus. when asked about a case where a 12 year old girl was impregnated by her uncle one of the old white men who make such decisions said that he would hope that the parents would provide her with guidance through the ordeal of giving birth at the age of 13 to your uncles child and having that child serve as a constant reminder of how your entire life was ruined-once by your uncle raping you and forever more by the state robbing you of your childhood as punishment for being raped. This is some disgusting $%^.

Can anyone help me fill in a couple of holes in this story:
Paul Manafort was tight with Russian Aluminum Oligarch and close friend of Putin Oleg Deripaska. We put sanctions of Deripaska but the Trump administration wanted them lifted. In a rare bit of Bipartisanship, Congress said no.
Deripaska contracted with David Vitter (the disgraced Senator turned lobbyist) to pressure McConnell to get the sanctions lifted and was successful in doing so.
Shortly after the lifting of the sanctions, Vitter himself called McConnell to give him the news that Deripaska had decided to make a $200 million investment in an aluminum plant in McConnels homes state of Kentucky.
And as if that wasn't slimy enough, Vitters wife-who was nominated for a judgeship and been a historical flop in her confirmation hearings-got confirmation for a position that she was so obviously unqualified for that McConnell had previously refused to apply the same rubber stamp he had applied to nearly every single Trump nominee. Apparently, the most important qualification in the Majority Leaders eyes was her ability to land a big industrial plant in his state.
The stories that Deripaska is McConnells biggest donor are apparently untrue but there seems to be more of a connection than there should be between the Majority Leader of the US Senate and a close and influential ally of Vladimir Putin.
This was an orgy of corruption that should be investigated fully.

The argument can certainly be made and has, but I do not see how it is relevant."
That's just because you haven't thought about it seriously.
"Whether or not a fetus reacts to stimuli does not carry any weight regarding the circumstances outside the womb"
Why not?
"or the health of the fetus."
In this it is very relevant. Creating some pain now to prevent much pain in the future could be argued morally.
People often argue in a free society an adult should be free to do what they want, with the caveat, so long as they are not causing harm to another.

I used to believe that the reaction to pain was a strong point. I used to be prolife. I am not anymore. I have given it considerable thought. Whether or not the fetus responds to stimuli does not differentiate between the result of rape, incest, being carried by a 12 year old, having no chance of survival outside the womb, or endangering the mother’s life. Under any circumstance it is not a pleasant decision or experience. I believe it is the woman’s decision to make.

If someone has a cat that has kittens, but they don't want kittens, is it ok to put them in a bag and drop them in a lake?

I don’t think so. I think it’s against the law.

So is speeding, but I do it all the time. Speed limits cause accidents and accidents kill. Drive safe, drive faster.

I did. I am now starting another case. Soon it will also be rested. I am the Socrates of the casual internet-based discourse.
