I just heard a story on NPR about the situation between Pakistan and India. Tensions are being inflamed by the press which uses fear, hate and war mongering as a ratings tool. It's worse that the situation here with many talking heads on the Indian side literally calling for Pakistani blood.
Voices of reason on both sides are speaking out but the news outlets are zeroed in on what puts assess in front of the TV.
I think that given all the outside influences on the press in America, Fox, CNN and MSNBC could take a lesson from the Sub-Continent and focus on the truth instead of what's most likely to sell. The press shouldn't serve to further divide us but they do.

Imran Kahn is the PM of Pakistan. I have followed his career. I believe he really has a heart for the Pakistani people. He is getting a baptism in fire right now though. He is not an experienced foreign policy guy.
He wrote a book, Pakistan: A Personal History. It is a very good read. He is in a tight spot right now though.

i DON'T REALLY KNOW ALL THAT MUCH ABOUT THE SITUATION but as I understand it, India says there was a terrorist strike launched from Pakistan so they sent in some fighter jets to retaliate and one of them got shot down and the pilot captured. The pilot was returned promptly and without impropriety (?) but some of the pundits are wanting to go to war over it. One said it was time to shed some Pakistani blood.
It seems like the return of the pilot was an opportunity to de-escalate that maybe both governments want but a handful of Sean Hannity types are really stirring the pot.
That's not the Kahn who sold nuclear technology to North Korea is it?

No. Kahn is a very popular name. Imran was a cricket star in his younger days. He spent a lot of time living in Western Europe and has travelled the world. He is in a tough position, but i think he will be fine. Pakistan is tough because of the tribes that operate somewhat autonomously. The terrorism originates there.

Every other leader of both nations for hundreds of years has not dealt with it or it wouldn't still be a problem.

Let me make sure I've got this right...if you are good enough at it, obstruction of justice is not a crime?

If you are good enough they can't prove it.

If you are so successful in obstructing justice that your crime goes undetected, then the obstruction is not a crime either.
Obstruction of ANY investigation should be a crime regardless of the outcome of the investigation.
If you have nothing to hide, then why obstruct?
