It's nice that Trump got the detainees released by NK but there are a few questions that I would like to hear asked.
1. Why were they in NK? They were charged with being spies but that doesn't mean anything more than us denying that they WERE spies. If their missions were innocent, were they really important enough to justify traveling to NK? The risks for foreigners who enter NK are known. These guys evidently had better justification for taking the huge risk of entering NK that Warmbier did but anyone who travels there should understand that taking on that risk is their decision but the costs of protecting them there is shared among all of us. When I had PE, I was happy that the ambulance rushed me to the hospital but I got a bill for that service. Mine was almost $700 and came about without me taking huge and voluntary risks. This one is considerably higher and the result of people making the decision to voluntary accept the danger but not the expense of rescue.
2. Trump says they are great people. Do you think he could really say their names without being prompted? They are more like tools to him. Tools to boost his ratings.
3. Was that really the best TV rating ever at 3AM? I don't give a $%^ but evidently Trump does. And it is in him saying just that, that we learn what this is all about. Just like every other decision Trump makes, it's all about Trump.People say he's unpredictable but he's not. He's dramatic. You can predict everything he does by anticipating what will stroke his ego the most and Kim has given him a handjob.

4. I heard one report that said that the decision to release these three was made two months ago. Was the two month period an orchestration to allow time to return them to proper nourishment and health before releasing them? If so who was involved in the orchestration?
5. I know he's trying to get along with Kim and even appreciate it. But calling Kim "nice" for releasing the detainees? Nice would have been to not imprison them in the first place if they really weren't spies. He didn't give them their time in captivity back did he? That would have been nice. It's just another way that Trump shows what an amateur he is. Let's hear it, Walter! Bunch of...

Regarding the Nobel Peace Prize:
"“Everyone thinks so, but I would never say it,” he said Wednesday when asked if the award was deserved."
If he gets a denuclearized North Korea he does deserve it but he is building up some big expectations and in the end, does anyone really believe that Kim is going to give up his nukes after starving his country for years to build them as his only bargaining chip with the US? Never gonna happen.
Then what?

Now I read that it's true that the last North Korean nuclear test collapsed the mountain and quite likely rendered the site unusable. That means that Kim gave up nothing but three detainees to get his seat at the bargaining table on equal footing with the worlds most powerful man. I really am sick of winning, believe me.
And another question about the detainee release:
If they were released as Kim says-at the formal request of POTUS, why did that take Trump (or Obama) so long to make that request? When we found out that Kim had imprisoned our citizens, did we not think to ASK him to return them?

By "they" and "they" do you mean Trump (or Obama) or Kim, and the captives or Trump?

The paranoiac's "they".
If they can get you asking the wrong questions they don't have to worry about the answers.
