At least we've got our two new aces to rely on now. ;-) Dexter says he's happy because he's in the line-up and things are starting to click. In fact, he's hit .200/.220 since that horrible Matheny finally got what he deserved. While that is quite an improvement, it's not something that shows me a really big turn-around. He's probably hitting much higher since Mike left after last night's game but just like the fact that two really good first starts don't fix our problem with starters, a .250 average over 8 or 10 games isn't a turn-around. I like the recent performances but if Shildt wants to stay, the turnaround needs to be strong enough to at least make us competitive with good teams. If he can accomplish that without real help before the trade deadline, he's my guy.

Ozuna-Pham-Bader defensively is as good as it gets and offensively better than with Fowler.
