That was a common pre-season theme... wondering if that has changed as this bullpen looks deep and good. With or without a meaningful contribution from Holland it seems that way. If Holland is early season Holland of last year the bullpen is a strength on par with the offense.

Small sample size, etc. Blowing 3 run leads in the 8th once a week will not convince a lot of skeptics.

It is difficult for me to draw any conclusions about this team right now. Everything is a question mark in my mind, but my biggest question mark if the rotation; getting through 6 in innings looks like an improbability every game. If that holds true, our pen will suffer.

I think 6 innings for starting pitchers is going to be a thing in MLB from now on.
The game is shifting rapidly. 5-6 innings starts is what the metrics say.

The bullpen has quality arms, the first week and a half results mean little. Our productive arms are deep. Obviously injuries could derail everything, but this bullpen is good and deep.

This Holland guy. I imagine he'll straighten it out, but I sure am glad we busted our knuckles over this guy all off-season.

And our "crappy" bullpen guys came in and saved this game incredibly. But the off-season theme was let's lose our mind over not signing Holland!
